介绍

Aleza Zheng (b. 1999) is a Chinese-born, Los Angeles-based artist working with oil, ink, linen, and silk. She uses the genre of autofiction to explore shared histories between the East and the West, exploring personal and cultural narratives, and traditional media with contemporary subjects. Her practice presents the world through anthropomorphized objects, using empathy as a device to understand disorientation, humanity, and invite a re-enchantment of the world.

Recent solo exhibitions include As If (2026) at Make Room, Los Angeles; Across the Idyll (2024) at Shazar, Milan; and Vanishing Point (2025) at SOOT, Los Angeles. Recent curatorial projects include Once Upon a Blue Moon (2025) at Bonian Space. Her work has also been presented in group exhibitions at Frieze Seoul (2025) with Make Room and Santander (2025) with Shazar.
