Private Studio Visit & Breakfast with artist Pia Ortuño

Make Room invites you to an intimate studio visit event with London-based artist Pia Ortuño, followed by an artist-led walkthrough of her workspace during Frieze London Art Week.

This special event comes after her debut US solo exhibition Ceremonias, which opened this past September at Make Room, Los Angeles.

Guests will have the opportunity to experience Ortuño’s new works that explore transference, memory, and belonging through her distinctive process of carving marble dust and pigment into monumental wooden panels firsthand. Her practice draws from the landscapes of Costa Rica, the weight of ancestral histories, and the ritual of color and relief as a living language.

Light breakfast will be served.
